Last night, around 4:20AM EST, web hosting providers InMotionHosting and Webhostinghub were hacked by Tiger-M@te, a semi-infamous Bangladeshi hacker.

Intrigue Music’s website is hosted on InMotionHosting’s servers, and we were indeed hacked during this attack. Some of our core files were compromised, but a simple removal and replacement of these infected files remedied the problem. We did not lose any important information from our databases. All of our blog posts and information appear to be safely in tact. Phew!

InMotionHosting is actively working to remedy this security hole, and are updating customers live via their Twitter account (@inmotionhosting), and in this article on their website.

We are really lucky that all this hacker did was flash his gun, and not actually fire any bullets.

Oh boy, we’ve been hacked!

The absolutely brilliant skate video above features freestyle skateboarder Kilian Martin and his incredibly original blend of street tricks. The video was directed by Brett Novak, who did an amazing job putting this video together. He was even kind enough to use one of our clients’ songs as the background music to this beautifully creative short film.

The song featured in the film is “Rescue Radio” by Soft Bullets. Thanks to Brett for using the song, and spreading such an incredible video to a mass audience. The video has gone viral with nearly 500,000 views at the time of writing this. Great job guys!

So, you’ve just gotten a hot tip about the new must-see film of the summer and you’ve cued up the trailer on your computer. As the storyline unfolds, you find you’re struck not just by the visuals, but maybe even more so by the music. Sadly, there’s nothing that you can find anywhere that tells you what the song is or where it may have come from. It’s a common scenario, really. That said, if you just happen to be watching the trailer for July’s must see sci-fi thriller, Another Earth, we’re about to make your day. It’s been both a long and nostalgic process, but we have finally moved our office to the beautiful city of Portland, Maine.

It is both unnerving and exciting to be moving to a new city, but we are definitely confident with our decision. We have tons of new projects in the works (Intrigue-related and not) and cannot wait to to get the ball rolling!

In Portland, believe it or not, there is a blossoming arts and music scene with boat loads of talent that we are very interested and excited to be working with.

We’ve Moved to Portland, Maine!

Jody Joseph’s latest release, an inspirational EP entitled “On My Way Home,” has been getting an AMAZING response from Christian radio stations around the globe.

As of last week, Jody holds the #8 spot on the CRW GLOBAL AC charts, and the #46 position on the CRW GLOBAL INSPO charts.

Patrick Watson’s “Sit Down Beside Me” Chosen as NPR’s Song of the Day!

This Saturday, The Jody Joseph Band, along with Gary U.S. Bonds, Steve Reilly Band, Wade Preston, Joe Bonnano and the Godsons of Soul, Laura Crisci, Lisa Bouchelle and Bullet Bob will play at the Asbury Park Convention Hall to raise money for Mary’s Place By The Sea. Jody Joseph is not only performing, she is the music director of the entire show!

After speaking with the organization’s founder and patients, Jody felt very inspired by the strength and faith these women exuded and instantly wanted to get involved to help make this event as successful as possible. The Asbury Park Press featured a nice article on the concert, which raises money for a retreat center for women with cancer.

We just got word that Patrick Watson’s song “The Great Escape” will be featured in Tropicana’s latest TV spot that premiered in Canada during the closing ceremonies of the 2010 Winter Olympics. It is estimated that over 20 million people in Canada watched Patrick and Tropicana bring light to the Arctic Circle.
