Colin Ross Waterson has performed as Waterson for many years making electronic music with influential producers including KDA, Ashley Beedle and Kenny Dope. His 2016 club hit ‘Tell Me’ amassed over five million streams and is considered a modern dancefloor classic. A hot cover of REM’s ‘Losing My Religion’ has had massive support from Annie MAC on Radio 1 and is due for imminent release.

Recent work as a composer and songwriter include festival favourite short films: ‘Blood Out of a Stone’ and ‘Early Mourning’, several projects with legendary electronic soul singer Billie Ray Martin (Your Loving Arms). He is currently collaborating on a full-length musical with Ben Hartley (Broadway Experience). His compositions are used extensively for TV, dance and idents.

Colin started out as a dancer in Matthew Bourne’s company where he created roles in ‘Swan Lake’ and ‘Cinderella’. He performed in London’s west end and Broadway in Olivier and TONY award-winning productions. He worked with other prolific choreographers including: Janet Smith, Bunty Matthias, Bill Deamer, Aletta Collins, Quinny Sacks and Alex Reynolds.

He is also an educator and recently wrote the performing arts qualifications for higher national level in the UK and Europe. He remains an Associate where he visits creative colleges and helps maintain standards. He has also been a member of the education team for several leading dance companies and music conservatoires.
